Confectionary Grace - Background

BACKGROUND

It wasn't until 1999 that I discovered a hidden talent. It was when I volunteered to make a cake for my priest and his wife's silver wedding anniversary that I discovered a new art to love. At that time I had never even made a buttercream rose. The anniversary cake was meant to resemble their original wedding cake with cascading carnations and green velvet ribbons. I knew I was way in over my head...but I'm always up for a challenge! Thankfully everything turned out beautifully to commemorate such a wonderful occasion!

These days cakes of that sort is no problem...something I look forward to doing! I love when someone comes to me with ideas for a design or theme. My professional background has been in the Graphic Arts. In addition to cake decorating I am a full-time Graphic Illustrator specializing in graphics and web design. I am able to utilize these skills and talents in decorating your cake as you will notice by some of the cakes I have done recently.
